Poetry, Creative Non-Fiction, Devotional
I’m delighted that my collection of published works is growing, thanks to the following anthologies, journals and devotionals.
Poetica Christi Press publish an inspiring anthology each year.
My poem Coalesced was selected by the judge in the 2015 PCP Poetry Competition.
It was published in 2016 in Imagine, edited by Janette Fernando and Maree Silver.
You can purchase the anthology from Poetica Christi Press.
Shape Poems! I love seeing them and creating them!
Two of mine are in this anthology:
Maple Music and A Sight to Delight
You can purchase A Lightness of Being from Poetica Christi Press.
My Haiku, Gum Blossoms Dancing, found its way into Poetica Christi Press’s 2015 anthology, Inner Child.
You can purchase the anthology from Poetica Christi Press.
Writing to a specific word count—exactly 100 words in this case—was an interesting challenge, so I was delighted that Knitted Together made it into this beautiful, hard cover anthology. It’s an intriguing collection of fiction in miniature—so much story in so few words.
100 Word Short Stories was published by Reader’s Digest in 2016.
My poem, Special Clearance/ Exposed was first published by Kasva Press in Veils, Halos & Shackles: International Poetry on the Oppression and Empowerment of Women.
The poem utilises white space to encase a message within the message.
I created and narrated a visual presentation of my poem for our online launch held on 8th October, 2016.
Stories and poems of imagination and hope!
Two of my poems are in here: Journey and A Light From Heaven
It was a privilege to be counted among the twenty-one contributing authors from Australia and the United States in this captivating, moving collection of ‘reflections on faith, help in time of need, joy in the midst of tragedy, and surprising encounters with God’. Edited by Jeanette O’Hagan and Nola Passmore, Glimpses of Light was published through By the Light Books in 2015, the International Year of Light.
Profits from this anthology go to CBM Australia, giving sight to the blind. You can purchase e-book or paperback here.
Rhyme and Rhythm! A bit of Boxing Day fun and memories in this one with Twelve Miles To The Sea.
From my days of dabbling in Bush Poetry.
I studied my Creative Writing degree externally through Tabor Adelaide and absolutely loved it. I highly recommend their Creative Writing Program.
Poems and Creative Non-fiction in this one!
Seed, The Birds are Back, and Red Rock Reconciliation Song.
Also from Tabor Adelaide; Tales features works from students, alumni, and staff.
My poem, Seed, has been published more than once.
On this occasion it joined the pages of Snapdragon: A Journal of Art and Healing, (‘Your Wild & Precious Life’, Fall 2015 issue, 1.3), an international online publication filled with thought-provoking and uplifting poetry, creative non-fiction and photography.
‘Brio’ means ‘vitality’, a great word which captures the creative spark of poetry and short fiction in this anthology.
My poem, No Regrets was selected for inclusion in this anthology after I entered it in the Toowoomba Writers’ Festival Literary Prize for 2015, sponsored by the Fellowship of Australian Writers (Queensland).
Releasing Rainbows (creative non-fiction) was published in the inaugural issue of Snapdragon, a Journal of Art and Healing in 2015. Writing—and submitting—this particular piece was a pivotal moment for me as an author. Among other things, it was the catalyst for the creation of my penname.
With its powerful message of healing and release from a legacy of abuse, publishing this in a more accessible format is on my to do list.
Rise: Chaplain Publishing put together this devotional to encourage College bound students in the US.
